About the fiber

All fiber is hand dyed.  This is a one woman show so yes, I dye it all.  Also due to the small size of this business fiber is dyed to order starting in 2024.  For the best consistency, it is recommended that you order enough to finish your intended project.  Also please note that no two fiber knots will ever be exactly identical.

Care Instructions

Assuming that you are spinning this fiber into wool the care instructions will be the same for any hand dyed yarn.  If you must machine wash your project, gentile is recommended.  However as with most hand dyed yarn, hand washing is STRONGLY recommended.  It is the best way maintain the color and quality of your finished project.

Other Information

All companies can have problems with bleeding/ color transfer.  This usually happens with blues and teals. However it can be see with any very dark and saturated colors too. Please know that we have taken all possible measures to prevent this with your yarn.  The color(s) on this yarn have been set (color locked) BUT it is possible that you may or may not see an slight amount of color exhaust in the water during your first wash.  There should be nothing else after. This is not uncommon with most hand dyed fiber.  But as previously stated hand washing is strongly recommended to maintain the color and quality of your project.
